Heidi Wangler is the founder of Guidepost Hospitality, a family-owned and operated property stewardship company built on trust, consistency, and genuine care. Originally from Vermont, Heidi moved to the Lost Sierra region in 1990 and quickly fell in love with the mountain communities and the people who call them home.

With early roots serving homeowners in Tahoe and Martis Camp, Heidi discovered a passion for helping people protect, maintain, and truly enjoy their homes—whether they are full-time residences or seasonal retreats. She understands that homeownership comes with responsibility, and her mission is to make that responsibility feel manageable, reliable, and stress-free.

In addition to second homes and vacation properties, Heidi is deeply committed to serving year-round residents and primary homeowners. She recognizes that full-time mountain living brings its own unique challenges—from seasonal weather demands to ongoing maintenance needs. Through consistent care, proactive inspections, and dependable service, Heidi helps homeowners maintain safe, comfortable, and well-cared-for homes throughout every season of the year.

Ed Wangler brings more than four decades of hands-on experience caring for homes, facilities, and mountain properties throughout the Sierra region. Having lived and worked in the Sierras for over 40 years, Ed has an unmatched understanding of the unique demands that come with mountain living—from seasonal weather challenges to long-term property upkeep.

For the past 40 years, Ed has served as a Maintenance Foreman with the Truckee Donner Parks & Recreation District, where he built a reputation for reliability, problem-solving, and exceptional craftsmanship. His extensive background in maintenance, infrastructure, and preventative care makes him an invaluable asset to Guidepost Hospitality and the ideal person to help protect and maintain your home.

Ed is married to Guidepost Hospitality founder Heidi Wangler and is a true partner in both life and business. Together, they share a commitment to service, integrity, and building a company that homeowners can trust. Ed takes great pride in his work and approaches every property with the same care and attention he would give his own—ensuring homes are safe, functional, and well-maintained year-round.

 Serena Verdicchio is a proud local who grew up in the Lost Sierra region and brings a deep sense of care, integrity, and community pride to her work at Guidepost Hospitality. As a single mom, Serena is driven by purpose—building a better future for her family while doing meaningful work that serves others.

Serena is passionate about natural, green cleaning products and services, believing that a clean home should also be a healthy one. She specializes in customized cleanings tailored to each client’s preferences, incorporating signature scents and aromatherapy to create spaces that feel refreshed, calming, and truly cared for. Her attention to detail and thoughtful approach transform routine cleanings into a one-of-a-kind experience.
